Why I need a vacation from Bailey
Read MoreSo with warmer weather, I've been able to play with Bailey more outside. The game Bailey likes most now is catch the ball off the deck.
I sit at my dining room table on my laptop, while the back sliding door is open. I throw a ball through the sliding door and off the deck. It is ~20 foot high deck, so that means Bailey must run off the deck get the ball and bring it back up. Now you would think this would be tiring, but not to Bailey. He is always ready to play this game!
This is a picture of Bailey heading down the steps getting ready to get a ball.Uh oh!
I've been leaving Bailey out upstairs while I leave for 1-3 hours at a time. My trainer says to lay out mouse traps on items I want him to stay out of. So my house as become a mouse trap lair. Watch out for your fingers! They are on counter-tops, trash, books, etc. So far it has been working really well. Bailey hasn't been on my counter-tops in a couple of weeks.
Well this time, I left Bailey out after I got home from work. I played with him for a little less than hour thinking he would be ok. He had other thoughts on his mind. He wanted to play some more!
This is the state of my living room when I returned. Notice the torn book in the foreground? That is textbook left uncovered without a mousetrap. Luckily I don't use it.
